Marco William Fagioli
Zup Design
Born in 1974. After attending the State Institute of Art in Perugia, he moved to Urbino where he studied graphic design, industrial design and photography at ISIA – Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche di Urbino. In 2001 he founded in Perugia, together with Andrea Medri and Livio Zupicich, the studio Zup Associati Design, which deals with communication, design, interior design, installations and museum spaces for both private companies and public bodies, where he currently holds the position of creative director. He is currently working on projects for private residences, museum installations, communication projects and industrial design. Since 2009 he has been teaching Design Methodology at Il NID, Nuovo Istituto Design in Perugia. Since 2014 he has been teaching Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci in Perugia.
He has received several awards, including the Compasso d’Oro ADI 2008-2011, the Reddot Design Award, Design Plus, German Design Award and Ethical Grandesign. In 2015 he was awarded the ED-Awards and the Silver Joseph Binder Award – Design Austria. In 2016 he was selected at the XXI Triennale International Exhibition in Milan with the project Matris and was awarded the XXIV Compasso d’Oro ADI 2016 with the project 5MM Treemme.
