The talk is inspired by a recent book, edited by Marina Parente and Carla Sedini, entitled “Design for the Territories: approaches, methods, experiences“, which gives an overview of the approach of design and culture for the enhancement of the territory, as well as the activities of the homonymous research network of the Department of Design of the Politecnico di Milano (http://www.d4t.polimi.it). Pairs of experts from different disciplines will discuss three crucial issues in the relationship between design and territory: theory and practice, tangible and intangible, collaboration and competition.
