In the same year he began to collaborate with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, a private non-profit institution created by Franco Cologni, where he deals with institutional relations and cultural projects. His commitment to art professions, which became more and more involving, led him to be appointed – a few years later – General Manager of the Foundation. In this role, he designs and follows a series of initiatives linked to the world of art crafts of excellence: from internships for young craftsmen to the publication of books and magazines, from scientific activity to teaching.
In 2009, he curated the research “Mestieri d’arte e Made in Italy. Cultural deposits to be rediscovered”, followed in 2013 by “Artisans of beauty. Mestieri d’arte nella moda italiana” and in 2014 by “Il Valore del Mestiere. Elements for an evaluation of artisan excellence”, published by Marsilio Editori.
Since 2010 he has been visiting professor at the Creative Academy in Milan, and since 2014 he has been teaching “Italian Beauty” at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2016 he became Executive Co-Director of the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, a private institution created in Geneva by Johann Rupert and Franco Cologni to promote and protect art crafts and creativity.
